

CMAT stands for Central Management Admission Test, which is an entrance examination annually conducted by Tribhuvan University, Faculty of Management in Nepal. Tentatively CMAT entrance examination is conducted in the month of September/October. Tribhuvan University has made the CMAT entrance examination compulsory to get admission for the following degrees:
According to the Faculty of Management at Tribhuvan University, to take the CMAT exam, students must meet the following criteria.

There are four major areas in the CMAT Syllabus. For the CMAT entrance examination, candidates must prepare for all four areas individually. Following are examples of the areas.
Verbal ability is a kind of English language fluency testing in CMAT which includes vocabulary, synonyms & antonyms, suitable prepositions, Idioms and phrases, and passages and questions.
This testing is done to check the mathematical aptitude of students like probability, ratio and proportions, statistics, commission, taxation and vat, matrix and determinants, and so on.
This test examines the thinking ability of the student including types of relation, odd one-out arguments and flow chart, pure logic, common sense logic, guest logic, etc.
Assessment of general knowledge(GK) of students in diverse fields like current affairs – business & economy, sports, politics, management theories, science and literature, Interesting facts / current facts is also an examination technique.
The 90 minutes CMAT exam consists of altogether 100 objective questions containing 25 questions in each section with a total weight of 100 marks. The students must secure at least 40% to qualify for the examinations. The four sections hold 25 marks individually.

The CMAT entrance exam consists of both written exam and interview.
Written Exam:
The 90 minutes CMAT exam consists of altogether one hundred (100) objective questions containing twenty (25) questions in each section with a total weight of 100 marks. The students must secure at least 40% to qualify for the examinations.

The colleges running the program also conduct the individual presentations and interviews for selecting suitable candidates. Applicants securing above cut off point marks in the CMAT will be short-listed. Then the shortlisted candidates will be interviewed and selected for admission.

No, there isn’t a negative marking on CMAT. Marks are counted based on their total right answers. Although wrong answering doesn’t subtract your marks from the right answer it is recommended to answer all the questions than leaving without solving them.
The CMAT admit card is given to candidates by TU Constituent/Affiliated Colleges, who also notify exam centers using the symbol number on the admit card. According to their symbol number, students must go to the exam location.
