Computer Science and Information technology entrance exam is conducted by Institute of Science and Technology of Tribhuvan University in Nepal. Entrance exam is compulsory to participate in BSc. CSIT programs at constituent campuses and as well as private Colleges affiliated to Tribhuvan University of Nepal.
B.Sc. CSIT Entrance exam marks distribution:
The entrance exam will have a total score of 100 marks. This will include mathematics with 25 marks, physics with 25 marks, chemistry with 25 marks, English with 15 marks, and 10 marks for computer-related knowledge. The objective questions will be based on the curriculum in the following subject groups:

Bachelor program of Computer Science and Information technology is a four years undergraduate program. Candidates applying for this program must have appeared the entrance exam on the due date. The total full marks of this exam is 100 and pass marks is 35. The exam will be of two hours. The questions will be in the format of objective type (MCQs). For this the students must have completed a twelve year of schooling in Science background from any Board recognized by Tribhuvan University. They must have scored a minimum second division or C grade in all 11 and 12 results in every subject. Physics and Mathematics must be studied in Grade 11 or Grade 12 or passed A level in Science with Physics and Mathematics with at least D grade. CTEVT students must have passed a three year diploma in Engineering program taking Physics and Mathematics subjects mandatorily. Bio and Mathematics groups in Plus 2 level can also apply.
Selection of students in B.Sc. CSIT entrance exam:
In the result of the entrance exam, if candidates achieve equal scores, a placement list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the mathematics subject. If there are still equal marks, the order of preference will be as follows: physics, chemistry, English, and computer-related knowledge subjects. In the case where all subjects have equal marks, the lower educational level will be considered as the basis. These criteria will determine the placement, and the scores obtained based on this will not be published.
Admission in B.Sc. CSIT Program:
After the publication of the entrance exam results, every candidate must download their Score-Sheet. Once the results are published, priority forms must be filled out by the candidates. Interested candidates will find a space to specify the names of the campuses/colleges they wish to apply to for their BSc CSIT studies. The process of filling out these forms will follow the guidelines set forth by the Science and Technology Studies Central Admission Committee of 2080 BS.
Regarding the inclusive quota of B.Sc. CSIT:
As per the provisions outlined in the TU Semester System Operation Directive of 2074, campuses/colleges are required to admit students based on the inclusive quota criteria. Regarding Scholarships for B.Sc. CSIT:
Scholarship-related activities at the Tribhuvan University, Institute of Science and Technology, will be conducted in accordance with the scholarship guidelines specified.
